Biography
Born in Brazil in 1984.
Lives and works in Brazil.
Douglas practices painting, illustration, sculpture, and design. It was during this formative period that he co-founded the international well-know arts and design collective Bicicleta Sem Freio with Renato Reno.
Douglas' individual body of work explores a visual language that vividly manifests color, form, and figurations, interrogating identity and its fluid nature. His complex compositions often features characters such as anthropomorphous, chimeras or animals, merging and interacting with organic elements like endemic flora and fauna of the places he explores.
